Slab House respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
We only collect what we need in order to answer your enquiry and arrange a showroom viewing. That is typically your name, your email address and phone number, and details about your project — whether it is a renovation, a new build or a commercial job, and when you would like to visit. If you send us a message, we keep whatever you choose to include in it.
When you visit this website we may also collect standard technical information such as browser type, device and pages viewed. That is not used to identify you personally.
We collect personal information directly from you — when you complete an enquiry or booking form on this website, submit a form through one of our advertisements on Facebook or Instagram, email or call us, or visit the showroom.
Where you submit a form through a Facebook or Instagram advertisement, Meta Platforms passes your responses to us. Meta's own handling of your information is governed by its privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
We use your information to contact you and confirm a showroom viewing, to answer questions and prepare quotes or stone selections, to follow up on an enquiry, order or delivery, and to keep our own business records.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent. If we send you occasional updates about new stone arrivals, every message will include a way to unsubscribe.
We may share your information with the service providers who help us run the business — our email, website hosting, phone and accounting providers — and only as far as they need it to provide that service. We may also disclose information where we are required or authorised to do so by law. Some of the cloud services we use store data outside Australia.
This website may use cookies to remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well.
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. Meta may use information about your interaction with our ads to show you more relevant advertising. You can manage this in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including access-controlled accounts and limiting access to the people who need it. We keep information only for as long as we need it, or for as long as the law requires, and then take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
