Perla Venata

A warm Brazilian quartzite, close in character to Taj Mahal and often mistaken for it. We have two blocks on the floor and they read differently. Block 25574 is the paler of the pair — a cream-grey ground threaded with fine olive-toned banding. Block 25094 is quieter again: a soft warm grey with cloudy, diffuse movement and only the faintest paler veining breaking the surface. Both honed, both 2cm, and worth seeing side by side.
