Azul Ocean

Warmer than the name suggests. A taupe and smoke-grey ground is drawn out into long horizontal grain, opening in places into cooler blue-grey passages, with fine rust-red and burgundy seams cutting against the movement. There is more earth in it than ocean. Polished, which deepens the tones and gives the grain a wet, lacquered depth — quartzite, so that finish sits on a surface hard enough to work.
